2017 Bond Facts

Families are choosing Queen Creek Schools, which makes us one of the fastest growing districts in Arizona. And…projections indicate that we will grow by over 1,000 students per year.

We need new schools to handle this growth, because our current facilities have already reached capacity.

The Plan

To meet the needs of our community, we plan to build three new elementary schools, one middle school and one additional high school.

State cuts to capital funding have totaled OVER $1.2 billion in the last decade.  Queen Creek students simply cannot wait for the State to restore funding. This is why QCUSD Governing Board voted unanimously to ask voters for local support. There will be a special election with two ballot questions that will help meet the needs of our students.

Ballot Information

The three elementary schools and middle school will be fully funded with the approval of both ballot items. The State has appropriated dollars to assist with building High School #2, which allowed the new bond to be as low as possible. Here is how High School #2 will be funded:

Who can vote?

All registered voters that live within the Queen Creek Unified School District boundaries.

Where do I vote?

It is a mail in ballot. Everyone will receive a ballot that can be filled out and dropped in any mailbox by November 3rd.

Last Day of Onsite Voting

If you did not get your ballot in the mail by November 3rd, you can drop it off at the county office at anytime until November 7th, as well as voting Onsite at our district office.

Onsite Voting Information

October 28th – 7:30am till 4:30pm (Sat. Sun. included)
November 7th – 6am till 7pm 

Our District Offices will be an in-person voting site where ballots can be printed (if lost or damaged), and voting ballots can be dropped off.
